Ghost

That wasn’t her, it can’t be
laid her to rest moons ago,
hands stained crimson,
she died violently.

Left home, moved far away,
changed my name, live life
a new way.

Yet, saw her at work,
noticed her at the store,
saw her a block from home,
thought she knocked at the door.

Memories of love lost,
never dies an easy death,
it’s ghost follows endlessly.
